Day 13 - A Day of "Rest" - Kaleb's Big Day

Sunday, 04 September

Morning came very early for Deb and me on this day of rest... church begins at 0900, it takes 50 minutes to get there and we lose another hour because of a time zone change along the way.  So, to get to church on time we must get up at 0600!

Four hours later, we were back home and we got to chill for awhile before we went back to the church for Kaleb,s baptism and confirmation, which began at 1800.

Prior to leaving, Brando came out in his suit and his hat and Deb had to get this shot... Howdy pawdna!

We really enjoyed sitting under the pavilion and talking to Bill and Janet... it is a beautiful setting overlooking the valley.

Before Kaleb's baptism, he wanted to get his photo with everyone... 1st, Grandpa and Grandma Allen...

Then, Dad (who performed the baptism and confirmation)...

Then, his brothers, Ammon and Hyrum...

Then, Papa and Grandma Edwards...

Then, Mom and Dad.

It was a wonderful service.  We really enjoyed being able to see our second grandchild baptised.  Many people came and shared the experience with Kaleb.  Grandma Edwards and Grandma Allen both gave wonderful talks before Brandyn baptised and then confirmed Kaleb.  Grandpa Allen and I witnessed the baptism and then stood in the circle for the confirmation... what a special experience for a great kid!

After the service, it was time for more photos of the family:
1st, Jens family...

Then, Brandyn's family...

Finally, the whole gang... Yes, I am standing on the same step as the other guys... I could not see over that tall beautiful woman in front of me, so I had to move over just a bit to be seen... totally messing up the composition of the shot!  Now you know why I like to stay behind the camera!

In the end, it was a great day for Kaleb and a very special day for the rest of us too.

We love you Kaleb.  Congratulations.

Papa.
